Oyster Bay Town Unveils New Pickleball Courts in Syosset-Woodbury Community Park
Joseph Saladino, Town Supervisor of Oyster Bay, has inaugurated brand-new pickleball courts at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Park in Woodbury.
The Town decided to add these courts in response to the sport’s growing popularity among local residents.
“Pickleball is an enjoyable activity suitable for people of all ages, blending aspects of tennis, badminton, and ping pong.
Its popularity has skyrocketed in our community, with seniors and families regularly using our existing courts,” said Supervisor Saladino.
“These new courts are a great addition to the area. Put on your sneakers, grab a paddle, and come experience one of the fastest-growing sports right here in Oyster Bay.”
Pickleball has rapidly gained traction across the country, and Oyster Bay Town is taking the lead in providing facilities for residents to engage in this exciting sport.
Pickleball courts are now available in Bayville, Bethpage, Massapequa, Oyster Bay, Sea Cliff, and Woodbury. Additionally, the Town is planning to build more courts in Farmingdale and Massapequa by 2025.
