New $4.3M Mississauga tennis and pickleball facility expected to open later this year

A new sports facility is underway in Mississauga, designed to cater to tennis and pickleball enthusiasts. Set to open by year’s end, the $4.3-million facility at Churchill Meadows Community Centre and Mattamy Sports Park will feature six courts and an air dome for year-round play. Despite initial plans aiming for completion by fall 2023, delays have pushed the opening to approximately a year later. The project, a collaboration between the city, Premier Racquet Clubs, Tennis Canada, and Rogers Communications, aims to increase court accessibility and host various events. Financially, the cost is split between Premier Racquet Clubs and the city.
